Our Model and Programs

The Chicago Fishing Foundation is a full service gear shop, providing community members and neighbors with affordable refurbished fishing gear, accessories, and repair services. The funds raised by our retail shop and service department support our nonprofit programs. These include our local donation programs, teaching programs, and volunteer programs.

Where does our gear come from?

The Chicago Fishing Foundation is able to do the work we do because of the generous support of hundreds of donors. We receive gear from around the world from individuals, recycling events, and municipal groups. Donations can be dropped-off at our warehouse, as well as one of our partnering drop-off sites.
